CSC165 Week 7-8

The Good

I personally would say that week 7 went well. I understood what was happening in the lectures and the tutorial. In the tutorial I was able to do the exercise with success and the quiz in which I got 1/2 because of a mathematical error on my part. I was quite upset with myself since it was a silly error, but I would rather it be that then me just not understanding. I feel comfortable using the proof structure and proving/disproving. Practice is still needed but gladly I am on the right track. Week 8 was not as good as the previous week, however it was the not a disaster. What I did not understand was the worst case and the bounding of sort slide. I now understand it after asking my tutor to help explain it. A2 was a success in my books, I was able to contribute more on this assignment then I did in the other. To me this is a sign of progress. Number 6 gave me and my group the most trouble since we did not really understand what we needed to do to solve it. I think we got the proof part incorrect, but we did figure out that its was true. Overall I would grade these two weeks a B.

The Bad

In week 8 I was kind of confused with worst case topic and bounding a sort slides. It was a new topic and I was kinda of busy with my other classes so I was not able to read up more on it. I still now have question on how I use these and what they are for, which I do plan on asking either the prof, a TA, or on of my fellow peers.

Conclusion

To conclude, it was decent two weeks. To continue my success I must not get into a laid back mentality because it is crunch time now. To improve I need to once again ask questions and practice, practice, practice!
